Slovak Mölkky Open 2023 – propositions

System: groups - teams were drawn into 4 groups of 5-6 participants. In the group, the system is played each against each for two sets. Each set is played to 50 points, or to max. 12 throws by each team. Then the team with the higher number of points is the winner of the set. If the points are equal, it is a draw. There are two points for a set win, one point for a tie, zero points for a loss.

The order in the regular season table is determined by: number of points, total score, head-to-head, head-to-head score.

Play-off - the first two teams from each group advance to the first round of the play-off. The other teams play in the preliminary round of the playoffs. The winners of the preliminary round advance to the playoffs, the losers play the consolation competition.

All matches are played over two sets, except for the semifinals and finals of Playoff A, which are played over three sets. Each set is played to 50 points, or to max. 12 throws by each team. Then the team with the higher number of points is the winner of the set. In case of equality of points, the teams throw additional throws until one team has more points, or does not reach 50 points. The exception is decisive match sets (third or fifth), which do not have a limited number of throws and are played to 50 points.

In the groups and in the playoffs, the teams start the sets according to their registration, the team with the higher score from the sets played up to that point starts the eventual deciding set.

GAME SYSTEM 

The deadline for applications for the individual tournament is on Saturday 29 July 2023 at 15:00 on the spot. Max. the number of participants is 40. The draw will take place on Saturday evening on the spot.

It will be played in groups (3-4 players). In a group, players will play the number of sets according to the number of players in the group, and each set will be started by a different player of the group, according to the registration.

The number of groups will be specified according to the number of registered participants.

Each set in the group is played up to 50 points, or to max. 15 throws by each player. Then the winner of the set is the player with the highest number of points. If the points are equal, there is a tie and the victory in the set is shared between the players with the same number of points.

The order in the group is determined by: won sets, total score, better performance in a non-winning set, mölkk - out.

 

RULES

it is played according to the rules issued by the I.M.O. with the exception of time restrictions per hour All participants are requested not to prolong their throws and contribute to the smooth running of the tournament.

The tournament has a timetable that must be followed and adhered to. The team/player who, after being announced by the tournament organizer, within 10 min. does not show up for the match, loses the match by default, is disqualified from the given match.

The organizer has the right, if necessary, the tournament or matches should be shortened appropriately.

It is forbidden to wear on the playgrounds, or consume alcoholic beverages, as well as smoke and eat on the playgrounds. This is only allowed in designated areas.

Teams/players decide individual matches themselves, in case of dispute they turn to the head referee. The referee directs the final matches of both tournaments.

The results are recorded by the participating teams/players. After the end of the match, they check, sign the minutes of the meeting and hand them over to the tournament organizer.
